HUMAN RIGHTS AND ASYLUM PROGRAM

UMass Chan Human Rights and Asylum Program is UMass Chan Medical School's student chapter of Physicians for Human Rights organization (PHR) based in Worcester, MA. PHR has the worldwide goal of preventing human rights abuses that cause physical and mental harm to victims. Thus, our principal aim is to increase awareness about human rights violations and engage in advocacy on behalf of vulnerable and persecuted individuals. As such, we have started the first asylum clinic in Central Massachusetts that helps asylum seekers in our surrounding community get the evaluations they need for their court case.
